Airtel 4G is now LIVE in 200 towns across Kerala offering superfast 4G speeds at the
price of 3G
The launch is part of Project Leap - Airtel’s nationwide network transformation initiative
Kochi, July 19, 2016: Bharti Airtel Limited (“Airtel”), India’s largest telecommunications services provider, today announced the launch of its high speed 4G services in Chalakudy. With this, Airtel 4G is now available across 200 towns in the state.
Airtel customers in Chalakudy can now enjoy uninterrupted HD video streaming, superfast uploading and downloading of movies, music and images. Airtel 4G is available to customers across a wide range of smart devices including mobile phones, 4G hotspots and dongles.

To get started on Airtel 4G, customers can walk into their nearest Airtel Store and switch to a 4G SIM. Customers can also get the 4G SIMs home delivered by logging on to www.airtel.in/4g. With an instant SIM swap, customers can switch to a 4G SIM seamlessly and start enjoying 4G capabilities immediately.
Airtel has led the 4G story in India, having launched India’s first 4G network in Kolkata in April 2012. Airtel had announced in February 2016 that it has started deploying India’s first commercial LTE-Advanced (4G+) network in Kerala that can deliver mobile data speeds up to 135 Mbps.
