The world of MCU or Marvel Cinematic Universe is often composed of movies and web series of some of the most well-known heroes – Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, The Avengers and more. But one show that stands apart from all these is Loki. The legendary half-brother of Thor, also known as the God of Mischief, has steadily emerged as one of the most popular characters. Plot of Loki Season 1
Spoilers alert. In the first season of Loki, you will see everyone’s beloved God of Mischief get arrested by the TVA (Time Variance Authority). Marvel fans will remember the incident when Loki steals the Tesseract, in the first Avengers movie, and creates a new timeline.
Episode 1
Now, the TVA has taken it upon themselves to restore the timeline, whilst Loki is tried before a judge and found guilty. Loki does try to escape but soon realises that any attempt to do so is fragile.
Episode 2
Soon afterwards, Loki ends up befriending a TVA agent, by the name of Mobius, who also puts him in a room to show him his past misdeeds. At the same time, Loki also sees the future, where Thanos kills him (as shown in Avengers Infinity War). Eventually, Loki ends up agreeing with the TVA that he will help them fix the timeline.
Episode 3
Now, on his journey to fix the timeline, Loki soon ends up meeting another Loki, who goes by the name of Sylvie. The new Loki does not like the TVA and has made up her mind to destroy it. She fails, and the two Lokis eventually end up on a planet that is about to be crushed by its own moon.
Episode 4
Soon after, the two Lokis end up forming a romantic connection and decide to find who the real founder of the TVA is. The judge who gave the sentence to Loki says that the creator of the TVA hides beyond the Void, a place from where nothing has ever returned.
Episode 5
Loki and Sylvie stumble their way beyond the Void, after going through many challenges. Finally, they meet the person who calls himself as ‘He Who Remains.’ This new person tells Loki and Sylvie that he created the TVA to maintain peace across the timeline. He has grown weary and gives them two options – either kill him and create a multi-versal war or replace him and oversee the TVA. Sylvie wants to kill him but is stopped by Loki. She manages to somehow send him back to the TVA HQ and kills him, which creates a multiverse with new timelines.
On the other hand, Loki wakes up at TVA and suddenly understands that nobody recognises him anymore and all the Time Keeper statues at the TVA have been replaced by the statues of one of the variants of He Who Remains.
