Direct To Home or DTH is a commonly used service everywhere. Be it in urban or rural areas, each one relies on a DTH signal to watch TV at home. While its transmission and broadcast are uninterrupted several times, in some scenarios or cases, it may not be clear. The main reason behind this is a signal problem. If the signal strength of a DTH connection is poor, you may not be able to watch your favourite TV channels properly at home.

How to adjust the dish antenna at home?
First step to fix your DTH signal:
- The first thing that you need to do here is switch on the smart TV like Airtel Android Box and its receiver
- Sit back and wait for the instructions or messages to appear on the screen. Once anything is visible on the TV, manually select the menu button on the remote control and wait for the default cancel button to be automatically selected
- Choose the point dish option for system setup and click on the installation button
- Press the point dish option again and wait for the menu to appear on your screen again
- Move the highlighter to the ‘satellite’ box option and change the satellite number to 119
- Move the transponder to the number 11 and watch the signal strength update itself accordingly. If a green signal box appears on your screen, the receiver has been locked onto the signal.
Second step to fix your DTH signal:
- Stand behind the dish and place your hand at the 12 o’clock position on the reflector and push forward
- Have someone check the signal strength and give it time to update
- Pull the reflector back towards you after checking the strength of the signal
- Repeat the above steps again but see to it that you place the hand in a way that indicates 3 o’clock, 6 o’clock, and 9 o’clock. This step will help in making small changes to the signal.
Third step to fix your DTH signal:
- Loosen the bolts (if necessary) and adjust the dish in the direction needed
- Refer to the dish antenna installation section of the receiver manual in case, you need any help. It will let you identify the location of the bolts.
Fourth step:
- Move the dish slowly into different positions
- Get someone to check the signal strength indicator with each move that you make
- Wait for 10 seconds after you switch the position
- Once the bar of the signal turns green, move the dish back and forth to get the best signal
- Tighten the bolts and check the signal strength once again.
Fifth step:
- Hit the Cancel button thrice on the remote control to return to the picture
You are now done with the process of adjusting the dish TV signal antenna.
