Activate your FASTag at certified banks
Another way to activate your FASTag is to just visit the nearest branch of the bank where you have an account. Once you visit the branch, just inform the bank that you wish to link your bank account to the FASTag, and it will be done. Therefore, the next time you pass a highway toll, the money will be deducted directly from your bank account.
At the bank, you can also apply for FASTag KYC documentation, while you are activating your FASTag. Moreover, you may also have to submit your vehicle’s registration certificate (RC) to the bank, alongside all the other documents needed to get your FASTag activated.

What is FASTag?
To simplify things for you, think of FASTag as a simple code which makes paying your toll tax whenever you are using a highway. FASTag has now become a common feature in all of India’s national highways, which are governed by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI).
FASTag gets attached to the windshield of every 4-wheeler in the country. In addition, it can also be applied to trucks and other forms of vehicles (2-wheelers are an exception). This feature has been implemented nationwide, in order to ensure that vehicle traffic can be managed better on our highways.
There was a time in India when highway toll booths used to be jammed with traffic, no matter how many lanes there were. Fast forward to today, and those traffic jams are nothing but stories from yesteryears.
When you have FASTag attached to your windshield, the RFID-based scanners will scan the FASTag at the toll and deduct money straight from your bank account, with UPI. Now, to facilitate this 100% digital transaction, you will have to ensure that there is enough money in your linked bank account. This is where Airtel Thanks comes into the picture too.
Airtel Thanks is one of the best UPI payment apps to link your FASTag to. Simply because it comes with plenty of added features and benefits. You can recharge your FASTag, prepaid or postpaid bills, pay your utility bills and much more, all with this one app.
