How to Get a Duplicate FASTag Sticker

The National Highways Authority of India operates the FASTag electronic toll collecting system in India. It uses Radio Frequency Identification technology to make toll payments directly from the associated prepaid or savings account or from the toll owner. It is a passive RFID tag that is used to make toll payments directly from your associated prepaid or savings/current account.

It is attached to the vehicle’s windscreen and allows the client to drive past toll plazas without stopping to pay tolls. FASTag is available at approximately 28,000 POS locations, including banks, Common Service Centers (CSC), National Highways toll tax plazas, Regional Transport Offices (RTO), and gas outlets. How to get a duplicate FASTag Sticker

In India, if you own a car or any commercial vehicle. The FASTag must be known to you. We are talking about the RFID sticker tag for toll collection for a hassle-free commute through India’s state and national roadways. A large number of goods are frequently transported by interstate commercial vehicles. As a result, there is no time to waste. FASTag allows automobiles to travel between cities without having to stop at toll booths. The procedure becomes simple and straightforward.

With the Airtel Thanks App, you can get a duplicate FASTag easily. Follow these steps to get one-

  • On the Airtel Thanks App, go to the Airtel Payments Bank page.
  • To apply, go to the FASTag page.
  • Enter your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number).
  • Please provide both the front and back of your Registration Number (RC).
  • Click ‘Next’ and enter the amount you want to upload to FASTag via Airtel Wallet or online banking.
  • Your registration for an Airtel FASTag is complete!

You can call Customer Care @ 400 or 8800688006 for a replacement of the FASTag. The new tag issued to you will be linked to your old tag account and the relevant balance amount will be transferred to the new tag.

It is a prepaid recharge system, and you must ensure that there is enough balance so that tolls may be collected on highways using integrated RFID scanners at the booth. The primary goal has been to shorten wait times and large lines at toll booths along various state routes.

In most cases, the FASTag sticker does not need to be replaced unless it is damaged. That can happen if your car’s windshield breaks, or the sticker peels off and cannot be reused. The only thing left for you to do is order a duplicate FASTag sticker.

You can link your FASTag to the Airtel Thanks App and other wallets and bank accounts to retain a sufficient balance to quickly pass through tolls.

Documents Required for FASTag recharge:

The following documents are necessary to recharge a FASTag with a car number:

  • Identity documents such as a voter’s ID card, a passport, an Aadhaar card, a PAN card, and so on.
  • Address verification documents such as a passport, Aadhaar card, driver’s license, and so on.
  • Certificate of Registration (RC)
  • KYC paperwork with a passport-sized image
